Fire Safety at its most basic is by separating Heat Sources from Fuel Sources.
Electrical appliances provide both heat & fuel sources in one element or appliance, therefore, increased fire risks can be prevalent within most electrical appliances.
To reduce these risks, portable appliance inspections/ testing (PAT) is required to be carried out at suitable intervals. The intervals are dependant on your business type or, operations conducted and whether the general public have access to your electrical facilities or appliances, whilst used in the course of business.
